Music production, recording and DJ Lessons.

I’m running lessons from my studio space at home in Murrumbateman.. Limited space available, I am relatively flexible based on current projects.

Learning path:

* Songwriting – How to get the idea from your head straight to the speakers. Basic workflow in the DAW.
* Recording – The basics of compression, vocal recording. Vocal tuning and balancing the sound
* Music Production – Plug-ins, synths, side chaining, effects/channel bussing, live instruments.
* Building and mixing drums, adding layers

* Artist Development – Helping with a strategy to get your music out (Can connect you to global mgmt)
* Apple Logic Pro 101 – Basic workflow and Automation in the DAW

* I’ve been writing and playing music for as long as I can remember. In Australia and the US, having toured with bands, DJing and producing music for Cirque Artists Live.

* I’ve been a DJing for 20 years. I enjoy working with up and coming artists, those who are passionate about music and know they have or want to have the talent, but don’t quite know how to take that next step. I mentor my students in perfecting basic mixing techniques, building sets, mixing in key, getting stage ready, recording mixes streaming and podcasts. I have been an artist manager and booking agent DJing and booking artists globally for Creamfields, defqon1, hard island and many other global organisation.

RATES

Private sessions are:

$50/hour for DJ – $80/hour music production. discounted 15% for 5 sessions paid upfront. 2hr session music production $140 (2 hours may be too much to take in at once)

* Booking is essential. After each lesson I expect you to work on what we have gone over and come back next week to progress. Most people that work on it only need a couple of lessons to get rolling.

* I have previously worked for Apple in education helping teachers with professional development, building creative classes with iPad and developing projects with Aspect Autism Australia.

* I’m always happy to answer questions with a quick phone call or email to see if this is right for you. If I feel you may be better suited elsewhere, I’m happy to send you along the right path.

* Remember, nobody is ever too young or too old!

Call me about studio space hire to sit in and get your own stuff recorded, or if you need a powerhouse for video editing – the Mac Pro renders a 4K full feature film with effects and titles in about 20 minutes.

In between my own projects I can be hired to help record, mix, clean up your projects. Rate is generally negotiated by project and hours. I no longer shoot video or edit.
